Assisting Amazon Web Services

Many people only know Amazon as an online retailer, when in fact their web services platform is equally impressive

While managing my agency's creative department, Amazon reached out to us to provide their team with digital marketing services to generate brand awareness and consumer adoption of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace. With a focus on B2B marketing, their team needed a variety of assets including landing pages, web banners, email templates, and a multitude of paid advertising campaigns designed to drive traffic to their platform. What started as a six-week engagement turned into an ongoing relationship with my team directly supporting AWS's creative needs. Here, I worked hand-in-hand with Amazon's go-to-market products team to grow our vendor relationship and expand their service offerings. As a result of my management efforts, we have a recurring retainer setup with AWS that generates our company $200,000 year-over-year.

AWS Project Management & Reporting Tools

One of the largest efforts I built for Amazon Web Services was a project management and workflow automation tool for vendor requests. Because AWS regularly hosts in-person conferences, their events team was trying to solve how to effectively manage their quarterly budget alongside their order processing and fulfillment. Working directly with Amazon's Global Events Manager, I developed a robust user interface that helped solve many of these challenges - including admin dashboards, budget approval reports, and burndown charts to help optimize team processes.

Shipping & Labeling

A critical part of the AWS portal was the ability to track event orders and fulfillment. As such, my team was tasked with developing the label and package design to help coordinate this effort.

Marketing Approach

Accompanied by in-app messaging, the tool I developed was mobile friendly and provided Amazon not only an immediate solution but long term business value.

Getting the message out

Beyond supporting AWS with digital campaign efforts, I was responsible for the development and oversight of various internal and external facing marketing decks. These presentations would be used for both sales purposes as well as off-site training. Our department was tasked with maintaining the cohesive look-and-feel of these decks in accordance with brand guidelines.
